Is pricing per person or per craft?
Per craft. A double kayak hired for two people is one hire at the double kayak rate — not two individual hires. This makes GoKayak significantly better value for pairs and families than per-person pricing.
How does the hourly pricing work?
Paddle craft are hired by the hour with a four-hour minimum. The longer you hire, the better the effective rate — later hours are discounted automatically. Hire more than one craft together and a further multi-craft discount applies. All of this is worked out and shown at checkout — no code needed.
How are bikes priced?
Bikes are hired by the day rather than by the hour, so you can explore the Thames Path at your own pace. Multi-day hire is available, and you can return the bike to any collection point the van visits on your return day.
Do I need to pay upfront?
Yes — full payment is taken at the time of booking to secure your slot. You'll receive an instant email confirmation once payment is complete.
Are there any additional charges?
No. The hire rate is all-inclusive — equipment, delivery, briefing and collection. The only exception is parking at your chosen collection point, which is managed independently of GoKayak.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 48 hours before your slot and you'll receive a full refund minus a small cancellation fee to cover card processing costs. Cancel within 48 hours and the booking is non-refundable.
Do you offer discounts for large groups?
Group hire is handled by enquiry and we can discuss package pricing for larger bookings. Use the Group Hire page to get in touch.
Can I get a gift voucher?
Yes — gift vouchers are available and valid for 12 months from purchase. They can be redeemed against any hire at any of our four collection points. Visit the Gift Vouchers page for more.
